It is the first such action brought against individuals for cheating on online securities exams. Autiero and Kausar accepted the ban without admitting or denying the charges. If the agreement is accepted by Finra’s review panel, the duo will be banned for life. However, they can apply for reinstatement.

Finra’s Jessica Hopper said in a statement that “regardless of the testing environment, Finra remains vigilant in our efforts to detect cheating and will vigorously pursue disciplinary action.”
