Americans Optimistic About Retirement, But Inflation Harming Confidence

Most Americans say they’re still optimistic about retirement, but inflation is worrying to many, especially those who aren’t as prepared, according to EBRI. So reports CNBC.

Thumbs up hand 157251 1280The 32nd annual Retirement Confidence Survey from the Employee Benefit Research Institute and Greenwald Research finds that 7 in 10 workers are at least ‘somewhat confident’ about retirement. The poll, which included 2,677 workers and retirees, was conducted in January.

“Even with the concerns of the pandemic and rising prices, overall, American workers and retirees still feel positive about their retirements,” said Craig Copeland, EBRI’s director of wealth benefits research, according to the article.
