Kansas City FA Accused of Ripping Off Pro Athletes

Douglad E. Elstun, a Kansas City area financial adviser, is accused of overcharging clients and pushing them into risky investments that resulted in heavy losses. So reports The Kansas City Star.

football 2724393 640 smallElstun is accused of overcharging clients by at least $360,000. He faces civil penalties and a permanent ban from acting as an FA. Elstun’s attorney says he made an error by trying to do too much for clients and intends to repay them if he can.

The complaint didn’t identify the pro athletes he is accused of scamming, but Elstun is known to have represented former Kansas City Chiefs guard Will Shields, former Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles, and the Los Angeles Clippers’ Paul George.
