Florida Couple Sues CFP Board Over Fee-Only Dispute

A Florida husband and wife team has filed litigation seeking to prevent the CFP Board from disciplining them for an allegedly improper use of the “fee-only” description for compensation. So reports Financial Planning.

The litigation by two planners, Jeffrey and Kimberly Camardas, comes shortly after certain CFP Board officials, including the organization’s chairman and ethics commission members, have left their positions with the organization following disputes over the type of income that prohibits investment professionals from calling themselves fee-only advisors.
