Advisors Weigh In On Fiduciary Terms

In a recent survey, 72% of advisors say they believe terms such as “advisor,” “consultant,” and “planner,” each imply that a fiduciary relationship is in place.

Meanwhile, 84% said the difference between product providers and advice providers should be clearly defined, reports AdvisorOne.

The Fi360-AdvisorOne survey included registered reps, RIAs, dually registered advisors and insurance producers.
