Are Financial Advisors Ready to Talk About Touchy Subjects?  

Financial planning software provider eMoney Advisor has announced new research that pinpoints what it describes as a disconnect between financial advisors and end clients.

emoney AdvisorIn a survey of advisors, just 23% said they were “extremely comfortable” talking about serious illness and other personal subjects with clients. Only 18% said they were “extremely comfortable” talking about divorce planning and premarital planning.

“One of the main barriers to seeking financial help is people feeling vulnerable about expressing their level of financial knowledge and know-how,” Emily Koochel, eMoney's senior financial planning education consultant, said in a statement.
