Omicron Not Altering Return to Office Plans for JPMorgan, BofA, Wells and Morgan Stanley

Wall Street banks are monitoring the Omicron, the new COVID-19 variant, but not immediately changing their return-to-work plans. So reports Reuters.

covid 4948866 640smallSpokespeople Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and Citigroup say their plans have not changed, as of press time.

Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley have pushed the hardest to get workers back at their desks. Goldman and JPMorgan have had most workers in the office, at least part time, since the summer. Vaccinated Bank of America staffers have been allowed to return the office since September.

Meanwhile, Wells Fargo, plans to have its workers return to the office next month.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared a "disaster emergency" related to the COVID recently, but scientist say it could take weeks to understand whether Omicron is a reason to be worried.
