Wells Fargo Delays Return to the Office Again—Until 2022

After pushing back its return to the office multiple times already this year, Wells Fargo told employees in late September that most employees won’t be coming back until 2022. So reports The Des Moines Register.

wells fargoScott Powell, the firm’s COO, sent a memo telling workers they won’t be returning to the office until January 10, 2022 at the earliest due to the coronavirus. Workers will be returning in phases, with contact center and operations employees first, followed by business support and enterprise functions by the end of March.

"The health and safety of our employees and customers is our priority and guides our planning," Powell noted in the memo, according to the publication. “Given the current environment, we look forward to welcoming our teams back in January."

The company had hoped to bring workers back in person around Labor Day. That was pushed back to Nov 1.
