FBI Hunting for FA Missing Since September

Chris Burns, a financial adviser and radio talk show host, has been missing since September and now the FBI is on the case. Client money may be missing as well. So reports WSB-TV Atlanta 2.

Burns went missing one day before he was supposed to hand over documents to the Securities and Exchange Commission related to an undisclosed investigation. Burns has not currently been charged with any crimes.

Burns has 92 clients, according to a 2019 filing. Burns, who was an active participant in the local community and church, has several clients who invested $300,000-$500,000 in peer-to-peer loans, according to an earlier report.

Gwinnett County police had been leading the investigation into Burns’ disappearance but now the FBI has taken over the case.
