A study by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has concluded that financial news has predictive power and may be a better indicator of markets than more traditional measurements, such as consumer sentiment. So reports Bloomberg.
The study was based on a model that used computer-driven analysis of text from 16 major newspapers from 1980 to 2015.
