Since 1980, the Federal Reserve has raised interest rate 67 times and equities have climbed in 60 of the two-year periods following those increases. So reports MarketWatch.

The statistic, which was forged by research from the publication’s investment committee, runs contrary to the common belief that rate hikes cause equities to decline.
