U.S. Profits Could Fall Like In 2008: Morgan Stanley’s Wilson  

Morgan Stanley strategist Michael Wilson has warned that in 2023 U.S. corporate profits could decline like they did during the 2008 financial crisis. So reports Bloomberg.

financial crisis 544944 640 smallWilson wrote in a note that the earnings slump could push stocks to a new nadir that’s “much worse than what most investors are expecting.”

Wilson, a reliable bear who predicted the 2022 sell-off, said that despite inflation beginning to cool off, indications of a weakening U.S. economy are a concern.
